Caitlin Hennessy’s work is a complex mythology that speaks about the artist's personal history, the tradition of painting, and women’s role as the subject. Combining elements of the “uncanny”, the feminine form, nature, art history, folklore, and fairytales, the paintings create a personal narrative that begins to dissect views held by both the public and private sphere.
